Happy 1st birthday to my grandson!! He is such a light in my life!! His birthday is July 5th, so my summer fun, I made him a book/photo album for his birthday and birthday memories. I used a chipboard book I had and altered it, making the one side into a card, and then as you turned it over, it opened up into a photo album for my daughter to add her favorite pictures in it from his birthday celebration. I know some people's idea of summer fun might be flowers and swimming, but mine is bright colors and celebrating just how much I love that little guy every chance I get. Hope you like it! I was able to link up to some great challenges this week!!

Get Well Soon

Have been back to my craft room again and made a few things. Over at the Secret Crafter, they had the challenge to make a Get Well card and then over at Paper Sundaes, they were challenging us to do some paper piecing. I love paper piecing, even though I don't do it a lot, so it was a fun challenge for me. I used my favorite bear stamp from Stamps by Judith. I love her stamps. If you don't own any, be sure to check her out. For my back ground, I just went a little solo, making my paper look how I feel when I feel "like garbage" lol!! Just blotchy and out of focus.I used Tim Holtz inks and some distressing, was able to qualify for Sentimental Sundays challenge as well. Hope you like it and hope you have a great week!!

Sweet and simple

This card was inspired by the Sketch from the Sweet Stop Challenge blog and from the challenge at The Secret Crafter, to keep it Clean and Simple. Also, I made this card for my best girlfriend with my Penny Black stamp, this is my all time favorite stamp, simple, but I have used it in so many different ways. Embossing

Just a simple card for my cousin's wedding reception. Stamped my image, clear embossed it, added some rhinestones and DCWV paper pack patterned papers, and voila! I have a card. I am still only using paper and supplies from my overwhelming supply!! I haven't purchased one thing, besides glue in months, and sadly...or embarrassed to say, I still have plenty of papers and supplies left. Today I made this card for C.E.S. challenge blog, they wanted to see some embossing and 2 Sister Challenges was anything goes. Have a great weekend.

I must have really been on a roll yesterday. I made 15 cards!! Three different cards and five of each one!! I had fun with this one, I really like the flower/sentiment stamp and I colored my own felt brads to match the papers I was using. At C.R.A.F.T. Challenges, they have a challenge of flowers. And at Sketch and Stash, it was free choice of all their sketches, I used Sketch #3, except I made mine rectangle instead of oval. Hope you like them.

I was really in the tye dye-ing mood yesterday I guess. One of my very good friends owns The Dragonfly Tea Cottage in downtown Sylvania, Ohio. It is a lovely place and that is what inspired me to make these cute little note cards for her. I didn't really make these for any challenge, but I do qualify for the CES Challenge blog of Spring Colors and Images. So that is kind of fun. Hope Jennifer likes these. Hugs to you friends.

Card Crazy

So yesterday I was in a tye dye mood! I stamped my fairy images and Believe sentiment, used clear embossing powder then went crazy with my ink pads and created some fun colors. At CES Challenge Blog, they have the challenge, Spring color/images, I believe my fairies are very spring and even the bottom card, the tye dye colors of green, pink and orange seem Springy to me. At Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog,and Delicious Doodles, it is Anything Goes! At the Paper Shelter, they want you to be inspired by nature. And at Everybody Art, the challenge actually is Fairy!!

Happy Easter Son

Happy Easter, well, almost. Starting to get in the mood, so I decided to make a card for my 5 year old son. I used this stamp from Whiff of Joy, I got the paper from my DCWV spring paper pack, colored him in with my promarkers and went over the red with my stickles. Just a colorful fun card. I followed the challenges at Stamping 4 the Weekend, Cards for Men and Pink Elephant which were Easter. The sketch I followed was from Stamp With Fun, Crafty Sentiments was to use Glitter, Catch the bug was to use 4 or more layers, at 2 Sisters and If The Shoe Fits was to make a spring card and at Fussy Fancy Challenges was to make a card for a child. Back from my little vacation in St. Louis. It was great seeing my hubby and my son. Michael and I had a great time, but we had some camera problems. It is now time to GET ME A NEW CAMERA!! I hate losing pics due to technical difficulties, meaning, my camera sucks. LOL!! So, I am kind of getting back into my groove and went downstairs to do some creating. I found some fun challenges that helped me along with this.At Card Makin Mammas, they asked for Green, which I certainly gave them here. At Charisma Cardz they asked for an easel card. I made that, but with a twist. It's not just a card, it is a gift card holder. I used the embellishments I made at the

bottom into a pocket to fit the gift card. At Sugar Bowl, they wanted us to follow a sketch, which I did, make it springy, which I think it is with the pink and green and have it not a card. So, as a gift card holder, I think I qualify. :o) At If the Shoe Fits they wanted green as well and at Pixie Dust they had a challenge, Thanks for being you. I had a lot of fun with this card. I enjoyed making my own embellishments as well. Easy and fun card with one of my favorite line of stamps from Sugar Nellie, the Gorjuss Girls.

My hubby is working out of town again, so Michael and I drove here to visit him and then the 3 of us are driving to see our son Brad who is in the Marine Corp stationed at Fort Leonard Wood for his MOS. Been having fun with Michael at the City Museum and the St,.Louis Zoo.

Clean and Simple

Well, this card I kept clean and simple for the challenge at The Sugar Bowl. They had a sketch and the theme of clean and simple. And I think black and white with just a splash of green is pretty clean and simple. Not to mention I just love this stamp. I used the DP from an old SEI paper pack I had I believe. I painted in the colors using my Prisma Color markers, adding ink with my clear blender, I like the softer look it offers that way. At The Charisma Challenge site they were asking for Black and White and a splash of color and at Stamp Something they asked for something with flowers. My DP has flowers on it and my little girl is holding a pretty little boquet herself. Have a great weekend.

Hmmm, the photo doesn't really give this card its due credit. I don't know if you can tell, but I water colored this image with some of my distress inks. Then I followed the sketch on CPS Challenge site and used the theme of stripes on the Creative Inspirations Challenge blog. I just love this little girl. She makes me long for Spring even more than I already do.

Was visiting Michelle Zindorf's website, I love her work. I didn't "follow" her tutorial, but was inspired by it. I got out my craft mat, smeared a bunh of my Tim Holtz distress inks out and smeared them around my page. Stamped some of my Stampin Up images, took a white gel pen and black marker for some high lights and shadows, added some stickles to finish off the corners and voila, I have a cute and fast friendship card. At Stampin Vacation they have a bird/nest/egg challenge, at Whoopsi Daisy, their challenge is "for someone special", and at Party Time Tuesdays it is "anything goes". Hope you like it.

So here she is, my favorite angel. Sending a heart and a hug to you. This has always been one of my favorite stamps and I love the way she is so easy to blend with any color combinations. I used papers from Webster's pages, the Nature's storybok series. I colored my stamp a little different this time, I used my Prismacolor markers, but first I added ink to a craft pad, then picked up the ink with my clear blender and kind of painted the colors on that way. Added some ribbon, lace, diamonds and pearls(The Diamonds and Pearls don't just make me think of an old Prince song, but also a challenge at Pollycraft Monday Challenges) plus my distressed flower and all of this follows a sketch at The Sketch N Stash. I used their sketch and literally, not one thing here did I buy new, this was all stashed away just waiting to be used. I managed quite a few challenges this time. CES Challenges of spots and stripes, Corrosive Challenge and Magical Monday for magical creature,and 4Crafty Chicks with angel, butterfly or fairy, Stampin Vacation for Friendship Month, Stampin Vacation You are in my heart, Pile it On with Childhood Dreams, Paper Crafting Journey with Anything goes, Shelly's Images with anything goes, Delicious Doodles with glitz, glam shimmer and bling, and Bearly Mine with ribbon and Pearls!! Wow, I did it! LOL. Thanks to Pile it on for introducing me to so many new challenges. Great site!!

Kind of on a roll now for some boy cards, so here is another one I made. This is an old digi stamp I have from Polycraft. At Paper Sundaes the challenge was to use masculine colors of navy, green and/or brown. At One Stop Craft they are having a birthday celebration and want to see some cake! At Secret Crafter they were looking for some folds and you hopefully can see I made this into a gate fold card, and still kept it in the dimensions to qualify for OWH standards. And at Card Makin Mammas they wanted a happy birthday card as well to celebrate their 1st birthday!! Just used my prisma color markers, some card stock and some fun ribbon I had. Have a great week.

Ok, I pulled out an old High Hopes stamp of mine for this one. For having all sons you would think I would make more "guy" cards, but the cute ones are just too fun I guess. Though I have to say, this boy and his doggie fishing turned out pretty cute in my opinion. I made this from a recipe on Cards for Men Blog Challenge, gonna be a new favorite for me there, I can tell already.The recipe was one image, 2 designer papers and 3 embellishments. I used DP from The Paper Studio and the dog tag and black brads are just from my stash. Then at Crafty Catz Weekly they also had a challenge, One for the Boys, so here it is. Going into my OWH pile. The challenge at CPS was a terrific sketch that I had a lot of fun with. I used up the rest of the pink DCWV paper I have been using for my last few cards. I went with all pink again for the challenge at Stampin 4 the Weekend which was monochrome. And then at Prarie Fairie they asked us to come up with something with "fine print" and you can see that I used my pink background paper with the fine print included. I love this Whiff of Joy stamp. I have had her for awhile but this is my first time using her. I can see she is going to become a new favorite of mine!!

So, I was going thru my digis and found another cutie patootie from Dottie's World. I love her. She makes me want to go out and start planting! Just used some kraft paper for the card, some OLD patterned paper, "made" an embellishment by cutting out one of the flowers myself and found some old metal birthday greetings I thought looked cute on this. A fast and fun card. I colored in the tulip girl with my Prisma Color markers. On The Charisma Challenge Blog the challenge was spring, these may not be the typical spring colors, but the "Holly in the Garden" digi stamp certainly screams spring to me. LOL.

Pretty in Pink with Penny Black

Ok, so I am going to make a handful of these for the OWH campaign, I'm running out of time and I like this one, simple but cute. I change the wording on the bottom and leave it off for some.This card though will is my first and I had a few challenges in mind when I made it. I used the sketch from Janet's Corrosive Challenge Blog. There was a monochromatic challenge at Challenge Up your Life Blog and at Stampavie. At Penny Black's the challenge was Pretty in Pink and I used her gorgeous /my favorite stamp "blush" for the card. At A Secret Stamper they wanted you to use a stamped flower and at the Creative Cottage the challenge is floral. Then at One Stop Challenge it was Love is in the Air. WOW, that's a lot of challenges, and I wasn't really even trying!! LOL!! I hope the soldiers like it to send home to their families. Have a great week! I used DCWV paper and my Penny Black stamp and a Stampin Up stamp for the sentiment. I colored the flower up with my Stampin Write markers from Stampin Up and inked the papers in Worn Lipstick fromm Tim Holtz.

Getting silly with the glitter

You're an angel

At Stampavie they had the criss cross card for their challenge. I always liked making these, so I thought I would take it on. At Flutterby Wednesdays it was Anything Goes as long as you have an angel or fairy on your creation. At Challenge Up Your Life, their challenge was to have scripture in the background, which I stamped on my cardstock and on my patterned paper. At Jane't Corrosive Challenge Blog, she wants us to Button It up, so I added some button flair to the top of my insert to make it easier to grab at. And then there is Whiff of Joy, and Simon Says, with Love is in the Air, and with this lovely angel blowing kisses, you can't get anymore love in the air. I used my Whiff of Joy Sugar Nellie stamp, some of my patterned paper still lying around and on my angels' pants, I cut them all apart and dropped a bit of ink all over my craft pad to create a "tye dye" look to them, that is inspired by my friend Jennifer at the Dragonfly Tea Cottage. She makes the coolest tye dye goodies, check her out if you haven't already.Just so you know, her web site does her no justice, she has amazing works of art there for sale besides amazing food and delicious tea!! Made a happy birthday card with one of my Gorjuss girls stamps, love the cute little fox. Had some fun with some not such normally used colors. Like I said, my goal is to create 100 cards without spending any money on any new paper or embellishments. And I have SO much stuff here, that shouldn't even be a problem. I used the sketch from the Challenge Site, Sketch Saturday. Weather outside is ridiculous, so just gonna stay inside and scrap til I drop. LOL!!

Making a Wish Friday Sketchers Style

Ok, here was a cute and fast card. I followed the sketch on the Friday Sketchers challenge blog, Lovely, by the way. Used up more of my DCWV papers, some of the miles of ribbon I own and Voila', a card is born. I used some gold metallic on this fairy's wand, wings and crown. A few pearls on the side for a little fun. That might not make it in the OWH box though, I know the embellishments there really have to stay on. Thinking of you. I love these stamps. Can't get enough of them. I followed a sketch from Cute Card Thursday for this card. At Everybody Art Challenge, and at Crafty Sentiments, I used the theme of your favorite things, which would be my favorite Sugar Nellie stamps, the Gorgeous Girls...LOVE THEM!! At Delightful Challenges, their challenge was "have a heart", I think I covered that. <3
As for my techniques here, seriously, I just have been pulling out OLD paper and using it up, trying not to spend ANY money to create the 100 cards I am sending to OWH. The sentiment is a Stamping Up stamp and I colored it all in with my Prismamarkers. Just an easy fun card. I did use Aleen's tacky glue to get the felt heart to for certain stay on!! LOL!!

Make a Wish

I found a very cute sketch at Card Patterns I used for this little card. I changed it a little, but not much. I got the cute fairy from Lily of the Valley, a digi download. Love her. I have a friend that owns a tea cottage called, The Dragonfly Tea Cottage, and she loves ...dragonflies...of course, but also angels and fairies. So, I've been digging out all of my fairies and buggaboos to make her a special little gift. This card is also going in my OWH box. I used DCWV paper and my Prismacolor markers to make this fairy look so cute. I managed to get in a few challenges with this card as well.
Card Patterns for their sketch. At Penny's Paper's there is an Anything Goes Challenge! At Drunken Stampers they are having a birthday bash, which I think this card works nicely for. Maybe not a drunken bash, but it should do. LOL. Off to make another card. Hugs!!

Adore my Sweet Nellies

Well, I have not gotten a lot done, but I do like the way my card turned out. I used one of my favorite Sugar Nelly stamps. I went for a few challenges with this one along with making sure it fit all the criteria for the Operation Write Home project. It will not get to any soldier in time for Valentine's day, but I made it with no red or pink so it can just be for any loved one at any time.
At The Sugar Bowl, I used their sketch. I changed it a little, but not too much. I just liked the way the Adore on the paper looked there, as opposed to on the bottom like on the beautiful sketch they provided.
At Crafts 4 Eternity you were to use Polka dots.
At Fussy and Fancy Fridays you needed to make a Valentine type card with no red or pink.
At Prarie Fairie Fridays you were to make a sweet heart card.
At Charisma you were to make a love/valentines card.
And at Winterwonderland, you were to use the sentiment as the main.
So this is my first card in the box for the OWH project only about 99 more to go!!

My weekend begins

Ok,. I took Andy to the doctor for his lab tests. There's concern that he has diabetes. So, keeping our fingers crossed for good news. I am home, Tom is making dinner tonight, but just incase he makes something I can't eat I have already made some Caprese salad for later. I am now in my basement/storage center/little bit of art room!! LOL!! Oh what I would do for my OWN room, to seriously have my own studio!!! But that wish has already been sent out to God and the Universe, I cannot dwell on that now. I am off to make some cards for our men and women in the military to be able to send back to their own families. I might even throw in a few pages for myself. But feels good to just be in my "space" regardless of what I get done.

Mmmm....dinner....fresh rosemary

So, was hungry and wanted something healthy/yummy. I decided to attack my indoor garden and I am making baby red potatoes with garlic, green onion and rosemary with a little evoo. Then I added some chicken breasts with evoo and rosemary sprigs for a little flavor. I also have marinating, some mozarella balls in evoo and fresh basil just picked, infusing to make some killer cabrese salad for tomorrow!!! OOOH, timer beeped! Time for dinner. Yeah!!

Operation Write Home

Hey everyone, we all know I love MAKING stuff, but found even a little more reason to keep creating. Gonna for certain be sending in a box for this great cause. Anyone want in on it? You can do your own, get your own group in on it, or you can add what you make to the box I am sending. Brad was in Boot Camp when his little brother turned 5 and I know how bad he felt about it and how sad he was he couldn't even send him a card. I can't even imagine how rough it is for our men and women overseas away from their families, friends and loved ones. Would be great if lots of us got in on showing some love for those who serve us anonymously every day. Love and hugs from a Very Proud Marine Mom!!

Marine Corp and Craft? Heck yeah!!

Ok, here it is, I actually made something and it was a lot of fun. I was on a few challenge sites and saw a way to knock out a few of them and create something fun and functional for my son. Incase I haven't mentioned to some of you, my son left for the Marine Corp. He graduated from Parris Island and is now at Camp Lejuene for more training. While he was in boot camp he got a lot of mail!

Thank you to all that wrote him, but I know that he didn't have a lot of time to write back. Hopefully soon he will be able to start some letter writing of his own. So....in that thought, I made him some masculine....stationery that comes in a box that I made and cards that I made 3 of each card for a wee bit of an assortment. AND I used nothing but recycled STUFF!! Seriously, glitter left over from Christmas project, paper inside black cards....cut from bottom halves of typing paper that were blank. The paper I used for the cards....also all scrap paper. So I went green for my soldier, for my pocket book and for one of my challenges!!! LOL. I can't wait for him to get it. I know Brad, he'll get a kick out of it.

Boo Hoo

I did not even get to create any fabulous meals yesterday. :'( Brad leaves to return to the Marine Corp today. Yesterday we were having a dinner to say goodbye and goodluck. I was going to make some delish chicken enchiladas....my own rockin recipe, but I have a cold from hell!! I have all but lost my voice, feel yucky and tired. And today my body just aches. My husband did make his world famous lasagna and we had a great celebration. It was a good luck and we will miss you dinner for Brad and Congratulations we are so proud of you dinner for Dustin!! It was great. But, immediately after, I went to my room, downed some Nyquil and didn't wake back up till 3am. Not looking forward to watching Brad get on that plane today, but I am so excited for him and the beginning of his life. I couldn't be any prouder.

Making a fast gift, but from the heart

I just found out that an aunt of mine is in the hospital. I don't know her very well, but she is my mom's sister, and if it is important to my mom, it is important to me. I got her a book, but still wanted to make her something. I went carusing the challenge sites to find an idea. I went to Fab N Funky Challenges and found one that was called Quick and Easy. It gave me the idea to make it sweet, but simple. I went to Splitcoast Stampers and saw the black magic technique and voila! A
bookmark was made. :o)

Hope you like it, hope she likes it even more. I used Moonlight White Brilliance ink to stamp the image with, then I heat set it, pulled out my colored pencils and colored over the white ink. Then pulled out some old Sugar n' Spice ribbon, and tada, I was done. Easy and fun.

Ok, I really went for it. I made a Monochromatic Card for House Mouse, I used the sketch for Truly Scrumptious, and I used a recipe from Simon Says, I met the something old, which is all this pink paper and something new, are the embellishments, for Little Red Wagon Challenge and finally, for Charisma Cardz, their challenge was to make a card with more than one fold, I really have a lot more than one fold. LOL! This is my first easel card with a folder inside the top half of the easel. You could stuff a picture in there, a gift card, a tag, whatever you are in the mood for. Can't wait to give it away. Hope you all like it.

Finding Art Everywhere!!

Hi everyone!! I found a place in Toledo, Ohio called Scrap4Art! I love the place. People bring in things they either can't use, have too many of, etc, and instead of throwing it away, it is recycled for art making purposes. A lot of people haven't really gotten into it, cuz, as I am being told is that they see the great items, but don't really know what to do with any of them to make a whole project from it. So, that is where I come in. I found this place and loved it, so I go there, find some random objects and turn it into something fun. Then I write the tutorial so people that come behind me can see what they need to collect to do it for themselves. My last trip there I found a big box of lightbulbs that weren't broken but burned out. I brought a few home and so far I have made a vase, a terrarium, and two Christmas ornaments. Love this stamp!! Had a lot of fun making this one. Did some masking for the moon and did some clear embossing too. Love me some Halloween colors. I made this for The Corrosive Challenge using the mask. And the Haunted House Challenge using something magical.

Same card, different light exposure, but I like how the different lights highlight different things. My challenge from Stamp With Fun was a cool sketch that I had a lot of fun with. Hope you like the card. I love this stamp but decided to bling it up a bit for the Christmas feel, even if it is orange and black and white bling. LOL The paper I got from one of my DCWV paper stacks, the Doodlin Around Stack. Fun papers in that one!

Okay, another card inspired by Michelle Zindord. I used Orange/Pumpkin, Eggplant/Purple and Dark Green on this card., Which qualifies me for the Little Paper Shop Challenge, plus I used stripes and dots for the challenge at Stamp Something. Hope you like this card. I used some stamps I bought last year but never used before. I love them, especially the witch.

I was online the other day and checked out Michelle's blog, I hadn't visited it in a while. She had this card on her site and of course the how to make instructions on it as well. I do not have the mad brayer skills that Michelle has, but I am still pretty happy with the card. I also made this card for a couple of challenges. I used a mask for the challenge at Daring Card Makers site, and I tried something new by using a brayer and a mask on my card for Charisma Cardz Challenge. Used one of my Stampin Up stamps for the blades of grass, then cut out ovals to create the cat tails look. Hope you like it.

Went to see my BFF last night and we got NO scrapping done!! :o( Our children...(my child), was less than cooperative. BUT, I am leaving to go see my hubby and packed a TO-GO bag with me so I can scrap there while he is watching whatever sport is on television!! Can't wait to post my creations on Monday!! Well, I know I am lucky to have my husband working, but I have to admit, I miss him so much. I am glad he's working, but seeing him less than 24 hours a week just doesn't cut it. So I think Michael and I are going to go for a walk or something fun like that. I did find a really cool challenge site that has fantastic digi stamps!! I mean it, they are so friggen funny and rockin cool!! Check it out at Kenny K's Krafty Challenges!! I am not a paid spokesman...LOL!! I just really loved their images!

Yeah, I did something...finally!! I made a card and got in on the challenges for Stamp with Fun, their theme is to make a girl card, and with the Little Paper Shop whose color challenge is cocoa, light blue and red.Then at the cool, Stamping for the Weekend, it is anything goes challenge! Not my best work, but I am stilll a little rusty I think. LOL!! This is one of my favorite Sugar Nellie stamps though and just in time for one of my nieces birthdays!!

Friends, HI!! Been a long time, but I am feeling frisky again. I have partnered with a friend of mine to revamp her studio and make it our studio, as she sucks at creating without someone around anyhow, this is good for both of us. The place is a nightmare, but we are getting there. Even went shopping for some new goodies to jump back in with. Whole Living

Some of you already know that I have been following the body and soul plan(that's what it used to be called) from the Martha Stewart web site. If you are interested in it, go to www.wholeliving.com . This is the Whole Living Body Plan I believe it is called. Anyhow, I should be on week 3, but my weeks are taking about 10 days, just not mastering some of the things I need to do in only 7 days. But, I am still doing it. I have lost about 17 pounds and am feeling better every day. One thing that I have been surprised about is just how much more relaxed I am when I take a little pre-bed time to journal and meditate. It really has been helping me clear my mind. I am using much less medications to get me to sleep. Last night was a rough one, but that is just because I need to get back into the swing of having my hubby home and back in our bed. I really am excited about this "diet" because it really isn't a diet, it is a new chance for me to reinstitute healthy eating and healthy habits back into my life. This is a way of living, not just menu choices, a way of living that I not only can do but am excited about doing. I can't believe how better I feel physically and spiritually. I am really surprised by how disgusting processed food is and I am wondering why I ever thought it was good?!! Sooooo hoping my kids and husband see the positive changes and get on board. I make the healthy food for everyone, but they don't always partake in it. I am learning how to keep cooking just as healthy, but make it more kid friendly. I'll let you know how I do with that challenge. My husband is included in that kid friendly food, he is a big baby when it comes to food. So silly. Well, I'm off to take a walk and clean my yard, just trying to add more moving into my day, in any form I can think of that will not hurt my back or neck. I figure I have to keep pressing it, it is a vicious cycle I am in now. If I exercise, my back hurts, but if I stay overweight, my back will always hurt. I have to lose weight. This will not fix my back, but any relief is better than none at this point. That goes for anyone, but in my case, I am out of other options, I have to find the courage to work thru the discomfort to get to my goal. I know I can do this. I will do this. Spring is Here

Today I made a card for my mommy AND it just happens to cover a crap load of challenges!! Yeah for me. LOL! I have never made an easel card before but it was really fun and way easier than I would have thought. So glad I tried it. The tutorial on Whiff of Joy is a really nice and simple one. OK, here are the challenges I covered with my fun card here. Color Dare had the challenge for using celery, rose, turquoise and white in your card, Polka Doodles challenged you to use stamping and wings, Cute Card Thursdays and the Pink Elephant, challenged you to use the color Green, Creative Corner had this great sketch to use, Charisma Cards challenged you to use fairies, Stampavie challenged you to use Spring Theme, and Simon Says challenged you to make it girly. I think this might just be the most challenges I ever hit with one card and I didn't even plan this one out! The paper is from Die Cuts With A View the Tea Party paper pack and the fairy is from the Bella stamps, I heat embossed the green dots on the tiny tea cup and added glitter on her wings. I popped up my text to keep my easel card standing up. Hope you like it and hope my mommy does too, that is who it is being mailed to.

Hypnosis

Do any of you know much about hypnosis? I have actually most my life had the ability to hypnotize myself but didn't realize that is what I was doing. But now that I recognize my abilities from my past that I haven't tapped into for so long, (no idea why), I have been nightly working on my "script" teaching my subconscious mind new things so it can lead me without my conscious mind getting in the way! LOL!! I have been working on feeling more energetic and eating healthier. I have to tell you I already notice so many changes. Trust me it is not will power! I lack that for certain. I wish I was more eloquent and that I could teach this to others, it is such a fantastic tool and you can use it for most anything you want to see change in your life. Wish me luck and I will keep you updated on how it is working for me.

Well, it is not my best work, would have loved to WOW you all with my comeback creation but ...that did not come to pass. LOL! I have just fantastic neighbors and wanted to send them a little note and a gift card to Handel's ice cream. They are both in their 70's and already have everything they could possibly need or want, so I thought a sweet treat would be fun for them to celebrate their sweetness to my family. Every time it snows, before I am even awake my neighbor is up and has my ENTIRE driveway cleared and my steps. I am not even awake yet to thank him. They watch out for my dogs and my children. I am indeed blessed with wonderful neighbors and friends and wanted them to know I think of them and appreciate them. Plus****BONUS, I even qualify for a couple of challenges with this comeback card. :0)
Stamping for the Weekend had the challenge of Monochromatic theme and CPS had a cute little sketch for us this week. I turned it on end and had a lot of fun with it. Hope you like it.

Detox is a little scary!

This detox is going well but it is a little scary. My body is getting rid of things I don't remember eating!! Oh my gosh!! I won't get anymore graphic, but ewwww!! LMAO!! My face is breaking out, I'm tired, I have a head ache and feel like I have the flu. I have to keep reminding myself this is supposed to be good for me. Could all that I eat really be that bad for me that it is making me this ill when I stop eating and drinking it? Kind of frightening.

Wow, what a day. This weekend my hubby came home to visit. He has been out of town since early January. It was great to see him, plus while he was here, we went and got me a new car!! So glad!! Since my van has been gone, I have been miserable being with no vehicle. Now it just has to stop snowing long enough to be able to take it out and drive it!! LOL!! ALSO!! Got my scraproom about done. It is not "organized" the way I want it, but that is an ongoing adventure. I will post pics later today. AFTER! I come back up from there with my new creation!!
Also today was the beginning of my new diet/lifestyle. Martha Stewart has a site called "Whole Living". I am following their action plan. It is a body and soul type plan. Pretty cool most of it actually. I am starting the 3 days prep to get ready for a 4 day detox. So, lots of chicken and veggies for next few days. I'll keep you all updated.

I am so tired today. I was up all night. I miss Justin so much, I was up last night thinking of him, thinking of my children and thinking how much I pray that work comes back to our area so my husband can come home to me. I need him to hold me and tell me everything is going to be okay. My kids are awesome, but I am just feeling alone today.
On another note, I am sitting here watching Michael play my Wii Fit Plus, he is hysterical. He is doing the Kung Fu part. He even bobs up and down with the Mii characters. He has a lot more rhythm than his brothers, that's for sure. Finally one of my boys got my rhythm!! LOL!!

Day one. Had some Cheerios for breakfast and now getting offline to do my stretches and take my meds/vitamins. Wish the weather was a little more inspiring. It makes me feel as I should still be in bed watching movies. So...to fight that off, after stretching, gonna go to my scraproom and create something sunny to cheer me up! (and get my mind off of food!!)
